Women’s Work: A Collection of Articles by Working Women

This 1972 collection of articles by the Working Women’s Association in Vancouver was reprinted from The Pedestal. It features stories by working women across Canada, including by a University of British Columbia secretary, a ‘temporary Christmas helper’ in a post office, a “Quebecoise in English Canada”, a poet/waitress, and a cab woman. The stories explore how women were treated in the workplace and the opportunities available to them in the 1970s.
