Support Committee for Indian Women Workers

The Support Committee for Indian Women Workers was formed in October 1982 in solidarity with twenty-two Indian women who were locked out of work by Canadian Pizza Crust, Ltd. in Mississauga. After their request for a wage increase — originally promised months prior — was dismissed by management, the workers refused to leave and were locked out the next day.
