The Company of Sirens was a social action, feminist theatre company founded in 1986, first coming together in 1985 to work on a commission celebrating the Organized Working Women’s 10th anniversary. The Company of Sirens’ mandate was to develop new productions to inspire social change. The organization created works addressing issues such as sexual harassment, day care, racism, pay equity, and women’s labor.
