More about Good Daycare

Good Daycare was the newsletter of the Daycare Reform Action Alliance (DCRAA). This Alliance formed in 1974 to contest the proposals by then Minister of Community and Social Services, Margaret Birch, the most controversial of which was the proposal to increase the child to staff ratios by 25%. The newsletter explored what was happening in the Ontario Government and any reports or news from the Daycare Advisory Council. It produced some statistical background as well as human stories based in local daycare centres. It also had neat cartoons!
