Abortion Caravan (1970) – Raised Fists in Protest on Parliament Hill

Women wearing headscarves and with raised fists gather on Parliament Hill during a May 11, 1970 protest for abortion rights. Inside the House of Commons, another group of women speaking from the galleries interrupted the session, forcing an adjournment until after they were removed. The protests took place in Ottawa following the arrival of the Abortion Caravan.
