AUCE Grievance Seminar

This poster advertises a grievance educational seminar for the Association of University & College Employees (AUCE) union members held at the Holiday Inn in Vancouver. The seminar addressed the questions: “What is a grievance? Why grieve? How do you do it?” AUCE was founded in British Columbia in 1973 by the Library and Clerical workers at the University of British Columbia, and is most notable for being the first union in Canada to negotiate maternity leave top-up. In 1985, AUCE joined the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) to become CUPE Local 2950.
