Lesbian and Gay Pride Day ‘84 This poster promotes the 1984 Lesbian and Gay Pride Day festivities, held in Cawthra Square Park (now Barbara Hall Park) in Toronto. The event featured live entertainment, an auction, a parade, dancing, and other attractions, drawing a crowd of approximately 5,000 people. It was an early iteration of what has since evolved into Toronto’s annual Pride celebrations. The 1984 theme, “We Are Everywhere: 150 Years of Faggots and Dykes,” aimed to reassert the political roots of Pride.
