This poster promotes the 1984 Lesbian and Gay Pride Day festivities, held in Cawthra Square Park (now Barbara Hall Park) at 519 Church Street in Toronto. The event featured live entertainment, an auction, a parade, dancing, and other attractions, drawing a crowd of approximately 5,000 people. Sponsored by the Lesbian and Gay Pride Committee, this event was an early iteration of what has evolved into Toronto’s annual Pride celebrations.

The 1984 theme, “We Are Everywhere: 150 Years of Faggots and Dykes,” was intended to assert the political roots and history of Pride.
