Night Visions: Bodies in Trouble This undated poster promotes screenings of Marusya Bociurkiw’s film Night Visions (1989) and her video Bodies in Trouble (1991) at the Lesbischen und Schwulen Festivals in London and Torino. Night Visions is the story of a single First Nations mother and lesbian in danger of losing her child to the legal system. Bodies in Trouble uses “the 1990s summer raid at the Sex Garage in Montreal as a backdrop” to address the political and social abuse against gay communities in the context of a right-wing backlash. This is one of several posters in the Rise Up archival collection related to film and performance work by Marusya Bociurkiw. They are available on the Rise Up website with her permission.
