Fighting Back: A Women’s Weekend of Information and Action on Violence Against Women

This May 1982 conference on violence against women was organized by the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre. The event included workshops, films, and self-defence, and addressed a wide range of issues related to gendered violence, including sexual abuse and harassment, racism, forced sterilization, incarceration, psychiatric abuse, homophobia, addiction, poverty, and more.
