Women and the Earth Undated poster promoting a day-long celebration of women’s collective empowerment on July 21st, hosted by the Women and the Earth Collective at the Discovery Theatre in Vancouver, B.C. The National Film Board presented two films, Goddess Remembered and Adam’s World. The poster highlights topics of interest including earth-based spirituality, wilderness preservation, home environmentalism, wildlife protection, bio-regionalism, native culture, race relations, eco-feminism, film, poetry, music, and dance.The event included guests from a variety of organizations, including the Professional Native Women’s Association, Friends of Clayoquot Sound, Greenpeace, the Green Party, Worldwide Home Environmentalists Network, Northwest Wildlife Preservation Society, and Wilderness of Women.This material is reproduced here with the permission of Press Gang, a feminist printing and publishing collective active in Vancouver from the early 1970s to 2002.
