This poster was created for the Toronto Women’s Cultural Building Collective (WCB) 1982 festival, and features a list of the festival events over a black and white background. The WCB emerged in 1981 as a conceptual and political space and collective for women to gather, discuss, and create women-focused art and media.

The 1982 festival ran from March 8 to April 30 with additional events in May. It took place in different venues along Queen Street East and West in Toronto, and events included music, theatre, dance, performance, photography, visual arts, discussion, reading series, and documentary among others. The poster was designed by Joss Mclennan. The type is by Carol Auld.
