Adapted from the Women’s Information Centre Newsletter (November 1974)

In the summer of 1974, the Women’s Place Collective split into two groups. One group planned to set up a women’s cultural centre, while the Women’s Information Centre decided to continue with the “business aspects” of Women’s Place. These included phone referrals, speakers bureau, legal clinic, consciousness-raising groups, and a newsletter.  This group moved to a new location on Spadina Avenue in Toronto.

The newsletter include many announcements about meetings, services, and issues reflecting the wide range of feminist organizing in Toronto at this time.
