WE’RE WORTH MORE!: The Women’s Movement and Government Funding

This 1991 document by the National Action Committee on the Status of Women (NAC) explains how government cuts to women’s organizations will have a negative impact on programs and services. The document highlights such issues as the government’s failure to live up to their obligation to maintain and increase funding for women’s groups according to need, operational vs. project funding, the pros and cons of government funding, the negative impacts of government on the women’s movement overall, the effects of funding cuts on women, and how people can get involved.

This document is a follow up to an earlier pamphlet in 1990 from the NAC.
