DAWN & the Struggle for Disabled Women’s Rights

The Disabled Women’s Network (DAWN) was founded in Winnipeg in 1987 by women from across Canada.  DAWN’s vision was to bring attention to the special problems facing women with disabilities. It worked extensively to influence public policy and the inequities in the judicial system.
